A great Canadian jazz pianist and musician has left us.

Oscar Peterson died on Sunday, Dec 23, 2007 at 82 years old.

He was very involved helping young musicians to be better, he was a true mentor.

He was given the Order of Canada for his contributions to music and for his commitment to young musicians of our country.

He was one of the "Big guns" in the Montreal Jazz scene and he will be missed by many.

Thank you Oscar for your commitment to music, young musicians and your country. You'll be missed.

Oscar Peterson, 1925-2007

We were listening to a Christmas CD he made while we were putting up our tree the other night. This poor old planet won't swing quite as much without him.

                        Peace, Paul
